New Tiguan

Almost all seats in the new Tiguan can be folded flat and adjusted fore/aft. The asymmetric split-folding rear bench seat can be slid forwards and backwards too, offering plenty of adaptability for spontaneous plans en route or for transporting objects up to 2.5 m in length. When combined with the removable luggage compartment floor, this results in a vast 1,510 litres of load space.

More light, more air, more pleasure. The electric panoramic sunroof gives the passenger compartment of the new Tiguan a cabriolet-like sense of spaciousness. There is a good reason for this: its glass surface area is three times that of a conventional sunroof, so it allows an optimum amount of daylight into the interior and slides back to leave an opening that is 50 percent larger. So passengers can enjoy the sensation of 710 x 590 mm of open sky above their heads. And should you grow weary of the sun, the built-in blind can be extended electrically to protect from sunlight and the heat.

What makes the "RNS 510" navigation system really innovative is its specially developed off-road navigation function. In this mode, as many as 500 waypoints can be recorded during the journey even when driving in areas which have not been mapped. In this way, the off-road navigation is able to safely guide the driver back to a paved road. Apart from the navigation system, the "RNS 510" comes with a host of multimedia functions too.
